Top 5 designs of 2015

This is my five favourites nail art designs form this year. I sorted through all by photos to choose the only 5 to make it on to this list.

Number five:

Bee nails. My friend borrowed the yellow polish in this photo and it look really cool on her and it inspired me to create this cute bumble bee design for spring. I had to wait a few weeks to do it though as I had a couple of events to go to that needed themed nails…
Polishes used:
  •         Chip preventer – OPI chip skip
  •          Base coat - OPI nail envy
  •          Top coat -Rimmel London finishing touch
  •          Black nail art pen - sally hansen nail art pen Black/noir
  •          Yellow – unknown

Dotticure nails inspired by MissJenFABULOUS

So I was looking for inspiration for my next nail design and watched MissJenFABULOUS’s video Easy Nail Art For Beginners!!! #14 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzP5g8HzlfI) the first design in that video is a dotticure style design that I drew inspiration from.

Nail polish staircase DIY

I have been looking for a better way to store my nail polishes. I have a collection of 54 bottles (judge me if you want) and they don’t fit on the shelf that they were on as well as I’m moving and can’t take the shelf with me. So I searched for a DIY project to make your own nail polish staircase and found this video by gurl.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WlXNymASck this seemed to be the best tutorial/instructions out there but it wasn’t big enough for all my polishes and it was in inches. So I modified the instructions and this is what I did to create by nail polish start case.

10 nail polishes everyone should have

Welcome everyone.
This is a post about the 10 nail polishes I think everyone should have (unless you’re not into nails for some reason)

Let’s get the basics out of the way first. Base coat. Everyone should have a base coat as it helps strengthen your nails, prevent staining as well as make your polish last longer. The base I’m currently using is OPI’s Nail Envy. I got this mini as part of a free gift when I made a purchase form smelly cat http://www.smellycat.co.nz/ this is one coat which is what I usually use for my base. Note that the instruction say to apply two layers, I’m just too lazy for that and it works fine for me
